Summary: "Great breadmaker"

I tried a breadmaker some years ago with disappointing results. But reading the reviews for this unit, I decided to try again. It is great! But I have found that using recipes for the one and one half loaf gives better results than for the 2 pound loaf. Sometimes the two pound loaf will rise to the top of the unit and then fall. But the homemade bread is so much better than store-bought!

We've made whole wheat bread, Scandinavian Rye and Pizza Crust since receiving our Zojirushi Home Bakery Supreme less than one month ago. They were excellent. Especially love how clean my kitchen stays since the bread machine does all of the work for me. Looking forward to exploring many additional baking adventures with it.

This is a wonderful machine it makes meatloaf, soups, jams, cakes, quick breads like pumpkin and banana bread, and of course white, raisin and whole wheat bread and more. One of the wonderful things about this bread machine is that it is less expensive to run than heating up the big oven and it won't heat up the house like an oven does, it's great for making fresh bread on those hot summer days! It has a 2 pound non-stick loaf pan that really doesn't stick, which makes for a really easy clean up.

Summary: "Wonderful and high priced machine"


I have used bread machines since they were first introduced and make 2-3 loaves a week. My first machine cost close to $600 and was made by Hitachi. This Zo is a workhorse and handles all dough including 100% whole wheat with ease. My last 2 machines were Panasonic SD-YD250's and in my opinion that is the only competition other than the other Zo models. I love the yeast dispenser the Panasonic had and miss it but the shape of the loaf in the Zo is usable while the Panasonic is a bit more challenging since the slices are so large.

In short you do get what you pay for in bread machines and this one is very heavy duty will last for many many years. BUY IT!
